For the excursion to the Tremiti Islands, departure from the port of Vieste is scheduled for 09:00 a.m.
The Tremiti Islands are located 20 miles from the Gargano and have been called "the pearls of the Adriatic" because of their beauty. The Tremiti Islands are an archipelago consisting of the islands of San Nicola, San Domino, Cretaccio, Caprara and Pianosa.
What you will see:
- Visit Submerged Statue of Padre Pio with optional swim;
- Start of the circumnavigation of Capraia Island: uninhabited island where you can admire the lovers' architiel with the possibility of taking beautiful souvenir photos; continue for complete tour of the deserted island towards San Nicola Island.
- Arriving at the island of San Nicola coasting it you will admire the Benedictine Fortress-Abbey and the keep dating back to 1100 AD.
- Stop at the Cretaccio rock-islet to dive into its crystal-clear seabed waters.
- Long stop at San Domino the largest island, for picnic lunch on boat or beach or lunch at local restaurants(not included in excursion price)
- In San Domino you can hike, rest on the beach or dive off the rocks.
- After greeting the elephant rock you can visit the village of San Nicola and take souvenir photos in its Abbey-Fortress or buy some souvenirs.
Goodbye toast to the Tremiti Islands and sail back to the Gargano around 5:00/17:40 pm.
