Description

1° DAY: welcoming Apulian Masseria and the discovery of the country world of our land.
Arrival and welcome at the hotel.
Afternoon: visit to an historical masseria:
-Welcome coffee with the taste of Apulian Christmas pastries
-Home of the farmer and explanation of the history and of the various environments of the farm; visitors can find out how our ancestors have cleverly used limestone for the construction of shelters as trulli and many other architectural structures that still arouse curiosity and fascination as the neviere, the oil mills, the jazzi, shapes etc.
-Laboratory in masseria: depending on the availability of the farmer can
organize various activities such as the preparation of bread (and other baked goods) with cooking in the oven, fresh cheese, or discover the world of wine and oil through demonstrations and visits to the places of manufacture of these products. In some cases you can learn how to make the ramasole of tomatoes and even to cast off the straw to make the chairs made of straw or some beautiful baskets.
Return to the hotel and dinner.

2° DAY: trekking walk in "Pianelle wood's" exploring historical places between nature, colours and scents.
Morning: the proposed route will give a mood thanks to the tale of the history of robbers who found shelter in these places and the famous figure of Sergeant Romano. In fact, he was one of the greatest exponents of brigandage in Puglia that has been dedicated a plaque at the entrance of a large cave, last leg of the route.
Tasting of typical products of a farmhouse adjacent to the forest.
In the afternoon we return to the hotel to rest.
In the evening you enjoy visiting the Christmas market of Martina Franca and dinner in a trattoria of the city.

3° DAY: sight to two world heritage sites: Castel del Monte and Alberobello.
Morning: visit to Unesco's Castel del Monte, one of the most beautiful castles of the 13th century built by Emperor Frederick II, Duke of Apulia. It is characterized by its octagonal plan and for its architectural traits resulting from the fusion of cultural elements came from Northern Europe, from the Muslim world and from classical antiquity.
Lunch in a typical restaurant in the city of Andria.
Afternoon: visit to the Museum of dragee Mucci where will know one of the masterpieces of pastry.
Walk in Alberobello, Unesco city famous for its quaint old town consisting of just trulli. At Christmas time Alberobello offers a spectacle of lights that illuminate the trulli on cold winter evenings; in the narrow streets you can buy souvenirs typical of the place or taste local dishes.
Dinner and return to hotel.

4° DAY: exploring the coast, along the via Francigena from Polignano to Monopoli.
Morning: bike route along a stretch of the ancient Via Francigena, place of Christian pilgrimage that from Puglia was headed to Jerusalem, the Holy land.
Lunch at an inn of Monopoli.
Afternoon: visit the old town of Monopoli.
Return to the hotel and dinner.

5° DAY: bicycling the Apulian aqueduct bikeway.
Morning: path along the Apulian aqueduct. It is a work of hydraulic engineering that size and capacity is one of the most important in the world and distributes the water in a widespread manner in the entire population. The bikeway runs along a stretch of the Itria Valley, giving the visitor a unique landscape surrounded by lush vegetation enriched from trulli, meandering stone walls from moving and some forests with vegetation typical of these areas.
Lunch at the farm.
Afternoon: return to the hotel.
Evening: visit one of the cribs more characteristic of the area.

6° DAY: wellness and relax among the trulli.
Morning: wellness program in a structure characteristic of the area.
Afternoon: free.
Evening: visit to a Christmas market in one of the villages of Valle d'Itria.

7° DAY: walk in the Olive Tree Park, Fasano.
Morning: hike in the Park of coastal dunes, one of the most picturesque corners of Apulia for the expanses of fields made cultivation, olive groves and farmhouses that from hills extends into the Adriatic Sea. The Park offers its visitors a succession of different ecosystems characterized by typical Mediterranean flora and fauna.
Lunch in a farmhouse of the Park.
Afternoon: return to the hotel.
