Description
From the origin Messapic and Roman , to the great period of the Baroque Lecce , a walk through the old town you will discover the wonders that make Lecce one of the most beautiful cities of southern Italy .

The route starts from Porta Napoli , the final step in Piazza Duomo ( Cathedral , Bell Tower , Bishop , Seminar ) , the heart of baroque Lecce . Continue , then , passing the Church of St. Irene , toward Piazza Sant'Oronzo , where you can admire the ruins of the Roman Empire , the church of San Marco and the seat .

Walking through the streets of the old town you get to the Church of Santa Chiara and the Roman Theatre , other specific evidence of the history of Lecce . The tour ends at the Basilica of Santa Croce , jewel of the Baroque Lecce and the adjoining Convent of the Celestini. Free time for shopping in the beautiful clothing, souvenir and local craft shops.
